Set among the stone villages, olive trees and rugged landscapes of the Mani Peninsula, Marie and Yanni’s destination wedding brought together the understated beauty of southern Greece with a relaxed and deeply personal celebration.
The couple met in New York seven years before their wedding, at a party hosted by mutual friends. After getting engaged in Punta Cana, they chose Mani for their wedding in Greece — a place whose stone architecture, mountain landscape and proximity to the sea created a distinctive setting for their day.
A palette of soft whites and natural greens, delicate florals and subtle rustic details complemented the surroundings without overwhelming them. From the quiet preparations and the traditional ceremony to portraits through the stone villages and along the coast, the day unfolded naturally against one of the most characteristic landscapes of the Peloponnese.
A Wedding Surrounded by the Landscape of Mani
One of the things I love most about photographing weddings in Mani is how naturally the landscape becomes part of the story. Weathered stone, olive groves, mountains and the sea create a setting that feels timeless and unmistakably Mediterranean.
After the ceremony, Marie and Yanni explored the surrounding landscape in a beautiful vintage car, allowing us to create portraits that felt relaxed and unforced while still carrying an editorial quality.
An Evening by the Sea
As daylight faded over Mani, the celebration continued at Porto Vitilo, where long tables beneath the olive trees, warm lights and views towards the sea created an intimate Mediterranean atmosphere. Dinner gave way to speeches, dancing and a lively party that carried the celebration late into the night.
