Stefani & Kostas — A Summer Celebration in Messinia
Surrounded by ancient stone walls, the sea and the warm summer light of Messinia, Stefani and Kostas celebrated their wedding at the historic Methoni Castle in southern Greece, together with family and friends who had travelled to be part of their day.
The day began in Methoni with the couple’s preparations before everyone gathered inside the castle for an Orthodox ceremony in its small historic church. The simplicity of the setting, weathered stone and Mediterranean light created an intimate atmosphere for the ceremony.
Afterwards, we wandered through the castle walls and passages for their portraits. As the sun moved lower over the Ionian Sea, the light gradually transformed the landscape, leading us towards the waterfront and some of the most distinctive views of Methoni and its iconic Bourtzi.
The celebration continued by the sea with dinner, emotional speeches, fireworks and a relaxed summer party surrounded by their closest family and friends.
A wedding shaped as much by the people as by the place — bringing together the history of Methoni, the landscape of Messinia and the unmistakable light of the southern Peloponnese.
